Entity

Entity — The Great Collector

Lord of the Items · CEO of X-Factor Industries · Founder of Synthetic Existence

Who Is Entity?

Entity is one of the oldest and most legendary capsuleers in New Eden. A long-time EVE player since the earliest days of 2003, Entity built a reputation not through warfare alone, but through an unrelenting pursuit of knowledge, trade, and the collection of the rarest artifacts in the galaxy. As CEO of X-Factor Industries (XFI) and Founder and Executor of the Synthetic Existence (SYNEX) alliance, Entity has left an indelible mark on the history of New Eden.

Self-proclaimed “Lord of the Items,” Entity has amassed approximately 9,300 different types of items — ships, modules, blueprints, and artifacts — making it the single largest and most valuable private collection in the history of EVE Online. The total estimated value of Entity’s assets exceeds 20 trillion ISK.

The Collection

Entity’s goal is breathtaking in its simplicity: to own one of every item ever created in New Eden. His collection includes some of the most coveted and impossibly rare ships and modules in existence:

Rare Ships

  • Armageddon Imperial Issue — An Amarr Empire prize ship of extraordinary rarity
  • Raven State Issue — Purchased from Band of Brothers, won in the 3rd Alliance Tournament
  • Tempest Tribal Issue — Also acquired from Band of Brothers after their tournament victory
  • Silver Magnates — Among the rarest PvP tournament prize ships ever awarded
  • Guardian Vexors — Legendary drone boats that were removed from production
  • Megathron Federate Issue — A Federation Navy prize of immense value

Rare Artifacts

  • Trinary Data Stream — Recovered from the wreckage of a Jove battleship in the Stain Region
  • Luther Veron’s Modified Large EMP Smartbomb — A named officer module of extreme rarity
  • Thousands of unique modules, implants, and blueprints spanning every race and faction in New Eden

The White Whale

Two items remain at the top of Entity’s wish list: the Apocalypse Imperial Issue (of which only one specimen remains in capsuleer hands) and the Opux Luxury Yacht (only two have ever been captured from NPC control). Their owners have so far refused all offers.

Pioneer of New Eden

Entity was not merely a collector. He was a pioneer who shaped the way capsuleers fly and fight. Entity is credited with developing what later became known as “nano setups” — the precise combination of Nanofiber Internal Structures and Inertial Stabilizers that allowed ships to change heading, enter warp, and reach maximum velocity almost instantly. This innovation transformed PvP combat doctrine across the entire cluster.

As a wealthy trader and industrialist, Entity understood the economics of New Eden before most capsuleers had even undocked for the first time. His acquisition methods reflect this — he typically pays fair market value for collection pieces, but is known for placing generous bounties on rare items, often far exceeding their apparent worth, to draw them out of hidden hangars across the galaxy.

X-Factor Industries: A Legacy Since 2003

X-Factor Industries was founded on June 19, 2003 — just weeks after EVE Online launched. In those early, wild days of New Eden, XFI quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with:

  • One of the first corporations to acquire a battleship — when battleships were still the stuff of legend
  • First corporation to win a Tech 2 Blueprint Original through the now-defunct blueprint lottery system, which gave early industrial corps a massive technological advantage
  • Built the first freighter — or rather, Entity did, personally manufacturing New Eden’s first capital-class hauler
  • Made in-game news for having one of the most positive standings ratings from other corporations in all of EVE
  • Played a key role in the founding of the Fountain Alliance, the legendary industrial powerhouse that controlled vast swathes of nullsec space

The Fountain Alliance Era

The Fountain Alliance was the dominant industrial and military power in western New Eden during EVE’s early years. Controlling the Fountain, Delve, and Period Basis regions, the Alliance was an economic giant with significant military muscle. Its member corporations included legends like Xanadu (a massive Tech 2 production corporation) and BIG (runners of the famous BIG Lottery, which once awarded a coveted Imperial Apocalypse).

X-Factor Industries was there from the beginning, helping forge the Alliance into the powerhouse it became. But empires do not last forever in New Eden. In 2005, the Band of Brothers launched a devastating campaign against the Fountain Alliance. The war culminated in the complete conquest of all FA-held territory. Ironically, one of the Fountain Alliance’s founding members — Evolution Corporation — had become a founding member of Band of Brothers itself.

When the smoke cleared, the Fountain Alliance had lost more than half its member corporations. But X-Factor Industries survived. Entity adapted, as he always has, continuing to build, trade, collect, and leave his mark on the universe.

The Museum Dream

Entity has long spoken of a dream: to one day open a museum in New Eden where capsuleers can view the collection — a monument to the history, rarity, and craftsmanship of everything that has ever existed in the cluster. With over 9,300 unique items spanning two decades of EVE history, it would be the single most comprehensive archive of New Eden’s material culture ever assembled.

Until that day comes, the collection remains safely stored in freighters, organized by race and type, somewhere in the depths of Entity’s private hangars — waiting.
